How to Clean and Maintain Your MRD PRO Trimmer
Routine maintenance protects cutting performance, client comfort and the long-term value of a professional trimmer. Hair, skin oils and product residue collect around the blade during normal use. Removing that buildup and maintaining correct lubrication helps the cutting system move freely and consistently.
After every client
- Switch the trimmer off and disconnect it from charging power.
- Brush loose hair away from the blade teeth and surrounding housing.
- Disinfect the blade using a product and method appropriate for professional barber tools.
- Allow the blade to dry according to the disinfectant instructions before storage or further use.
Oil the blade correctly
Apply only a small amount of clipper or trimmer blade oil. Place a drop near each side and the center of the cutting surface, then run the tool briefly so the oil distributes across the moving parts. Wipe away excess oil before use. Too much oil attracts debris; too little increases friction and heat.
Inspect the cutting system
Look for damaged teeth, uneven alignment, unusual noise or increased blade heat. If the trimmer begins pulling hair or requires repeated passes, clean and oil it first. Battery and charging care
